Hello, World!

Welcome to the new ACR EPP Blogsite! As you can see, it centers around a panel of bloggers, which will rotate from time to time, and includes interactive tools like the ability to respond to blogs (register to post comments), Twitter (coming soon!), practice tools (ever wonder about what tools can be used to organize a meeting?) and so much more! You can also get updates via an RSS feed (look for the logo on the welcome page).
As the EPP Section Co-Chair, it has been my pleasure to coordinate the design and implementation of this new site. A small committee worked tirelessly for over 6 months to create this site and they have our eternal gratitude. They are as follows:
Colin Rule-Ebay
Lucy Park-The Langdon Group
Brad Spangler-Meridian Institute
Dan Adams-The Langdon Group
With occasional help from:
Cindy Cook, Adamant Accord
Jeff Edelstein
We will be adding lots of content and filling in the missing elements in the next few months. Check it out and let us know what you think!
We can always use some help so please contact me if you're interested. We are also looking for an Uberblogger and Site Administrator (it's fun and easy; blog--or cut and paste occasional info from elsewhere, coordinate the other bloggers, and update the site--no prior experience needed). I can be reached at Hfactordr at aol dot com.

What is practice like now?
I'm teaching an environmental conflict resolution class in the Fall and will be using Carpenter and Kennedy's book. Reading through it, I wondered if most practice is like this, now. It is clearly what a lot of us wanted and thought EPP work should be like - extensive assessment and education phase, evaluation, for groups with 30 people a dedicated full time support staff person - but I was wondering, is this really happening now? I have friends working in various workplaces that are now working double shifts, while their colleagues are being fired. What is this kind of economic climate doing to EPP cases ?
